At Orchid Wellness, we take clinical rotations seriously. Our goal is not simply to provide you with hours. Our goal is to empower you to be a well-rounded, prepared, and confident nurse practitioner by the time you walk out of our doors.

What You Will Experience
Real Clinical Exposure
You will work alongside Chelsea Asante, FNP-C in an active primary care and wellness practice serving a diverse patient population. Every visit is a learning opportunity -- from the routine to the complex.
Service Diversity
Orchid Wellness offers primary care, medical weight loss, hormone replacement therapy, IV therapy, and aesthetic services. Rotations provide exposure across this full spectrum, giving you a well-rounded clinical foundation.
Simulation & Enrichment
In addition to live patient care, rotation students have access to clinical simulations and enrichment activities designed to reinforce key NP competencies and prepare you for independent practice.
EMR Access
Students receive access to the Orchid Wellness EMR system for the duration of the rotation. Learning to navigate and document in an active clinical EMR is an essential workforce readiness skill.
Individualized Scheduling
Your rotation schedule is built around your availability and your school's requirements. We work with you directly to create a schedule that meets your clinical hour needs.
High Expectations
We expect students to come prepared. Review your patient load before each session, arrive ready to engage, and approach every interaction as an opportunity to grow. Prepared students get the most out of their rotation.
What We Require
Rotation Standards
Professionalism
You are entering an active clinical environment serving real patients. Professional conduct, respectful communication, and a commitment to patient confidentiality are non-negotiable standards throughout your rotation.
Dress Code
Scrubs and an Orchid Wellness t-shirt are required Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, students may wear professional jeans with an Orchid Wellness t-shirt or scrubs. Orchid Wellness t-shirts will be provided.
Preparation
Students are expected to arrive to each session prepared. Review relevant clinical content, anticipate patient presentations for the day, and come ready to actively participate -- not passively observe.
HIPAA Compliance
All student rotation participants are bound by HIPAA regulations. Patient information encountered during rotation must be handled in full compliance with federal privacy standards at all times.
The Rotation
Fee
A rotation fee of $10 per credit hour applies to all Orchid Wellness NP rotation placements. This fee covers everything needed to support an enriched and fully resourced clinical experience for every student we host.
All administrative tasks and fee processing are handled through Empower Health Partners. An invoice will be sent to you directly through EHP once you confirm your interest in moving forward. An engagement contract outlining your student rights and responsibilities will be provided upon payment. Your personalized rotation schedule will then be created based on your availability.

Finding qualified, engaged preceptors for your NP students is one of the most persistent challenges in graduate nursing education. Orchid Wellness offers a structured, enriching, and professionally managed rotation experience for NP students across programs.
Led by Chelsea Asante, MSN, APRN, FNP-C -- a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with clinical experience spanning orthopedics, urgent care, home health, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and the ICU -- every student who rotates at Orchid Wellness receives high-quality preceptorship in an active, diverse clinical environment.

Experienced Preceptorship
Chelsea Asante brings multi-specialty clinical experience and active independent practice to every preceptorship engagement. Students are not handed off to staff -- they work directly with the preceptor throughout their rotation.
Structured Experience
Rotations at Orchid Wellness are not passive shadow experiences. Students are expected to engage, prepare, and participate. Access to simulation activities and enrichment resources supplements live patient care throughout the rotation.
Administrative Simplicity
All rotation administration is managed through Empower Health Partners. Invoicing, engagement contracts, and student rights documentation are handled efficiently so your program coordinators can focus on student outcomes rather than logistics.

The Affiliation Process

Program coordinators submit an inquiry through the Work With Us page with details about your program, student rotation requirements, and the number of students seeking placement.
Review & Confirmation
We review your program's requirements and confirm our ability to provide a rotation that meets your accreditation and clinical hour standards. We follow up personally within 48 hours.
Student Invoicing & Contracting
Once placement is confirmed, invoices ($10 per credit hour per student) and engagement contracts are sent directly to students through Empower Health Partners. Your program office is kept informed throughout.
Scheduling
Individual rotation schedules are created for each student based on their availability and your program's timeline. Schedules are confirmed before the rotation start date.
Rotation & Ongoing Communication
Students begin their rotation at Orchid Wellness. We maintain open communication with your program throughout and will address any concerns or documentation needs promptly.
